Keeping Children Safe on the Internet
Detective Fiorino (Orlando Police Department)
This presentation will discuss what children are doing online. We will discuss some things parents can do to help keep their children safe online. Most importantly, we will discuss internet safety and teaching children how to be safe online. The Internet is here to stay and is only advancing further daily. At some point, your child will be going online without your supervision. The same rules regarding teaching your children not to talk to strangers and other safety topics taught in the home apply online; you should be confident in teaching your child what he or she may encounter online and how to deal with it.
Neurosecurity: Infosec Meets Brain-machine Interface (BMI) Dr. Ben D. Sawyer
Direct brain-machine interface (BMI) has moved from science fiction to daily fact, and a new frontier of Infosec is emerging: neurosecurity. Entirely new attack surfaces are available to be exploited by cyber criminals, making the security of these devices of paramount importance. This presentation will discuss present and near-future threats, countermeasures, and cut through hyperbole and sensationalism to expose and discuss the reality of the emerging neurosecurity landscape.
