Why do I have to take this training?

This training is optional but strongly encouraged. We are offering you this opportunity to learn more about information security threats and the steps you can take to protect your accounts.

Phishing continues to remain a significant threat to information security.  The consequences of a successful phishing attack can be devastating and can include account compromise, identity theft, and monetary loss. An account compromise that leads to the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information may expose UCF to significant financial penalties and loss of reputation.

It is your responsibility to secure your account and protect the data UCF collects, stores, and processes. It is our hope that these training courses will help you to protect your accounts both at work and at home.
