Cyber-attacks on U.S. universities are increasing, posing significant risks to personal and research data. Due to budgetary and technological limitations, it’s crucial for faculty and staff to understand cyber threat detection, access management and data security.

UCF’s InfoSec and Emergency Management departments are partnering with the Texas A&M Engineering Extensions Service (TEEX) to offer in-person training that will provide this foundation.

Cybersecurity Risk Awareness for Officials and Senior Management

This Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) training is a non-technical cybersecurity course that develops risk awareness among elected officials, appointed officials, and other senior level managers.

This course keeps you better informed to protect your organization from cyber incidents. Upon completion, you should better understand cybersecurity risks faced by your organization and how to work with IT teams and other departments to mitigate risks.

Demystifying Cyber Attacks

This Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) training  provides non-technical students a better understanding of various cyber-attacks and how they occur. Cyber-attacks will be demonstrated through discussion, videos, pre-recorded attacks, and live example attacks. Students will be introduced to the Cyber Kill Chain and the common process cyber criminals use when conducting cyber-attacks. Through a better understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain, students will learn how to mitigate, disrupt, and stop cyber-attacks.
