Resource Authorization Guide

Requester/Sponsor: Ask your department’s HR Liaison or ePAF originator to submit the myUCF (PeopleSoft) “Enterprise Email – Add User Account eForm” to create an email account for the new user.

Creating New UCF Enterprise Email Accounts via myUCF eForm

Individual needing an email account: The user will not be able to access their email account until the HR Liaison or ePAF originator receives a notification indicating the email request is complete. Contact your sponsored to check on the status of your email account request.

Requester/Sponsor: Once the sponsor receives the user account creation notification they must contact the system owner or Security Authorizer (SA) to request the appropriate access to resources (file shares, servers, etc.) or federated applications (Webcourses, etc.) Information on DSC’s can be found here.

Individual needing access: No action needed.

PeopleSoft Access

Registrar Office Security Authorizer approval required in addition to security authorizer.

FERPA course SR100W is required before working with institutional data (academic records).

Requester/Sponsor: After the system generates an UCFID (EmplID), the sponsor will need to contact their PeopleSoft functional or security lead within the department to provision the needed access.

Individual needing access: Contact srtrain@ucf.edu to enroll in the required SR100W (FERPA Training) and basic navigation courses.  More information is found here: https://registrar.ucf.edu/training/

HR’s Security Authorizer / DSC approval

Requester/Sponsor: After the system generates an UCFID (EmplID), the sponsor will need to contact their PeopleSoft functional or security lead within the department and Human Resource’s Security Authorizer (hris@ucf.edu) to request the appropriate HR access.

Individual needing access: No action needed.
